Our Summer Event held on Saturday 14 July 2012 included local bands Evolution, Best Served Chilled, The Infidels, Jake Morrell and soloist Sarah O’Brian, KLFM Radio, a bouncy castle for children, a large raffle, auction and much more.
What a fantastic day, the rain stayed away and the sun was out, the event was so well attended that we raised a brilliant amount of £1877.00 for the Macmillan Ward at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The live bands and singers were fantastic and kept everyone entertained helped along by KLFM Radio who done a big introduction and and got things started. The day was such an success with the help of Felicity (The Crown) who cooked the burgers and hot dogs, Juliette (The Original Princess Parties) for doing hair & nails, Lois Chilvers for her amazing face painting, Lynnsport for the loan of ice-cream cart, Paul Wightman for the numerous lucky dip prizes. Also with the support of 12th Scout Group who supplied the marquee, Jimmy Heaphey for his continued help, Rudd Marquee who loaned us the tables and chairs and last but not least all those who so generously donated the many raffle prizes.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who came and supported the event and for everyone involved in making the event the success it was.
