About Megan’s Challenge

For many years as a group of friends we had talked about doing the “National Three Peaks Challenge“, and finally in May 2010 we decided to go for it and raise money for local charities at the same time. We completed the challenge with 20 minutes to spare and raised around £8,000.00 for the King’s Lynn Dialysis Ward.

After this we was all wondering what we could do next, then during a meeting we decided to do the “Black Mountain Challenge” in the Brecon Beacons. During the time running up to the challenge my gorgeous daughter Megan tragically drowned while on holiday in Gran Canaria.

Although we think of Megan every minute of every day we could not let her name and gorgeous smile be forgotten. When we think of her now we try to channel all of our thoughts and emotions into raising money for local charities in Megan’s name so with that we formed “Megan’s Challenge”.

Megan’s Challenge was such a success and hugely supported that we have decided to continue raising money for other local community projects, events and special causes. We plan to hold a big fund raising event every year in her name.

We thank you for taking the time and interest to look at the fund raising challenges and events that we do, we also thank you for the massive support that we have had and your kind donations.
